BURGLARS stole £4,000 of jewellery and £1,000 cash from a house during a burglary in Basildon.
Police are appealing for witnesses after thieves broke in to the house in Kirby Road by forcing the patio doors at the back of the house.
They stole £4,000 of jewellery which included watches, necklaces and bracelets.
They also took £1,000 cash.
Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the break in is asked to contact police.
Officers would also like to hear from anyone who may have been offered any jewellery for sale.
