EMERGENCY services were called to a crash after a car was wedged in to a power line.
Two cars collided in Hullbridge Road in Rayleigh at around 8.45 tonight.
Firefighters were called to the scene by police who were concerned about one car which had left the road and was wedged in a precarious position against a power line.
Two people were hurt in the crash.
Essex Fire and Rescue dealt with the incident by 9.04pm and the casualties were left in the care of the ambulance service.
