A MAN who was arrested in connection with a robbery in Southend has been released without charge.
The attack happened on Priory Avenue shortly before 1:30am on Tuesday, April 2 when a box of hot chicken was stolen from the victim.
The victim was knocked to the ground, before his takeaway was stolen.
It appears the victim must have been to the only chicken shop open at the time – Super Pizza & Chicken – in nearby Victoria Avenue.
A 19-year-old man from Romford was arrested and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
These enquiries have been completed and he has been released from this bail and without charge.
The investigation continues.
