A MAN arrested on suspicion of arson endangering life in relation to a house fire has failed to answer bail.
Police were called to an address in Southsea Avenue, Leigh, at about midnight on November 17.
A woman, in her 20s, was rescued from the top floor by firefighters.
Police arrested a 57-year-old man from Southend and bailed him until February 28 and then again until March 28.
An Essex Police spokesman said: βA 57-year-old man arrested on suspicion of arson endangering life was unable to answer bail for legitimate reasons, which police are aware of.
βHe will be required to answer bail as soon as reasonably practicable.β
