DEPECHE Mode could yet play Glastonbury this year, if rumours are to be believed.
Basildon’s most famous exports themselves responded to Glasto gossip by saying an appearance is not “out of the question” – but added a slot could be tricky this year due to other commitments.
The band will release latest album Spirit in April before embarking on the Global Spirit Tour, which will see them perform to a sell-out 80,000 capacity show at London Stadium, in Stratford.
It is rumoured they’ve sold a staggering 1.5million tickets for their global tour which will take in 30 other dates.
The band, comprising Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher, shot to fame with hits such as Just Can’t Get Enough, Master and Servant, and Personal Jesus.
In the UK, every one of the band’s albums since 1981 has successfully charted in the Top 10.
