KIND-HEARTED youngsters at a school have donated hundreds of tins to a foodbank.
Greensted Junior School, in Kirby Road, Basildon, held its annual harvest service which saw all of the school’s pupils contribute towards the haul.
It will now be sent on to Basildon foodbank at the Lee Chapel North Community Centre.
Colette Timcke, Year 5 class teacher at Greensted, said she was delighted with the collection effort.
