Hundreds of pounds stolen during armed robbery at a betting shop
THIEVES stole hundreds of pounds during an armed robbery at a betting shop.
Two men entered the Betfred shop in Weir Pond Road, Rochford at around 8pm last night, and demanded money from the cashier.
One of the men was armed with what has been described as a black handgun.
No one was injured.
The suspects are described as white. The man who had the gun wore blue jeans and a woolly hat and a scarf covering his face. The other man wore a black balaclava.
Police are appealing for information.
