MORE than 30 youngsters took part in a fun run on Southend seafront to raise cash to make their schools greener.
Barling Magna Primary School, in Little Wakering Road, Rochford, organised the fun run from Sealife Adventure, in Eastern Esplanade, to Uncle Tom’s Cabin, on Shoebury Common.
The weather was on the side of the school, which is trying to raise cash to expand a wildlife area outside the school for the youngsters to explore.
Jenny Crump, the school’s admin assistant, said: “We’re hopefully going to raise about £200 to expand the school’s wildlife area, which features little bugs they can examine.”
