PASSENGERS on the c2c rail network have faiced delays this afternoon due to balloons on the overhead power lines.
The problem occurred at Stanford le Hope station at around 2pm when some balloons became entangled in the overhead power lines.
Services towards Southend were delayed by as much as half an hour but the balloons were soon removed and services are now returning to normal, but with some residual delays.
