A YOUTH was assaulted as two men tried to steal his mobile phone in Glasgow's West End.
The incident happened on Sunday afternoon as two pals, aged 14 and 15, were approached by men in White Street, Partick.
The thugs assaulted the 15-year-old, demanding he hand over his phone but the boy, who was not seriously injured, refused and the two thugs made off.
The first suspect is 40-45 years old, 6ft 3in tall, slim, with greying hair and a beard. The second was 30-35 years old, 6ft 2in, of medium build and had blond hair.
Police today appealed for witnesses.
