Four-vehicle smash on A127 in Southend

A four-vehicle smash has blocked part of the A127 heading into Southend.

The crash took place at about 6.30pm, and emergency services are on the scene eastbound Prince Avenue, near to Rochford Road.

One lane of the track is blocked with traffic backed up behind it.

You know.... there is a crash in that same stretch almost weekly. Why? Is it because the lights change too fast and people go pedal to the metal to try and get through?

I don't know, all I know is we seem to have a constant 'crash scene' there.

I hope nobody was hurt bad. I heard the crash and sadly thought "not again!" .. something's got to give.
