A CAR fire and a motorbike crash have brought traffic to a standstill on the A127.

Both directions of the road between the A132 Eastmayne and A176 Uppermayne, suffered incidents just before 5.30pm.

The car fire happened westbound between Nevendon and Nethermayne junctions and partially blocking the road. The incident happened at about 5.30pm.

The road is now open.

An crash involving a motorcyclist and a car has partially blocked the eastbound carriageway.

An ambulance and paramedic were called just before 5.25pm to treat the motorcyclist, who is in his 20s. His injuries are not thought to be serious.

Traffic is managing to get past the scene but there are queues back past the Halfway House on the A176.
