A TEENAGER racially assaulted a black security guard as he tried to remove him from a shopping centre.
Dylan Dunn, 18, admitted one count of racially aggravated assault at Basildon Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard Dunn, of Ashlands Court, Tilbury, had been in the Eastgate Centre, Basildon, with a group of friends on August 14.
The security guard asked them to leave because they were causing a nuisance, the court heard.
Dunn began arguing with the security guard and squared up to him.
The court heard Dunn swore at the man before making off.
The police were called and the security guard identified Dunn from his Facebook profile picture on a pal’s mobile phone.
Dunn was given a conditional discharge for two years, and ordered to pay £50 compensation, £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
