An electrical fault caused a car fire in Southend on Sunday night.
Firefighters from Southend fire station were called out at 10.40pm to reports of a fire in a Ford Galaxy car which had pulled over in Southchurch Avenue.
The driver reported smoke had been coming out of the dashboard.
Officers had to put flames out in the rear lights after doing a thorough search through vehicle.
Lead firefighter Trevor James said the cause of the fire was an electrical fault and "minimal damage" was left to the car.
