My friend and I spent an entire day at the O2 Arena in North Greenwich where we shopped, ate, and climbed the world famous roof.

From world-class entertainment events to diverse dining options, the O2 has something for everyone to enjoy, and it's the go-to destination for those looking to combine fun memories with fitness activities.

As a fitness enthusiast, I'm constantly on the lookout for high-quality workout gear that not only enhances performance but also adds a touch of style to my gym wardrobe.

Echo:

Personally, February is my favourite month to start working on my fitness, as the Christmas selection boxes have finally been eaten, the January blues have vanished, and Spring is on the horizon.

And to celebrate the warmer months, I headed to the beloved outlet stores located at the O2 Arena, and my experience was nothing short of exhilarating.

My friend and I spent a much-needed couple of hours shopping in sporting favourites, such as Nike, Sketchers, Under Armour and New Balance.

Echo:

The shops here are undeniably fabulous; there’s something for everyone and has some great bargains you won’t be able to find on the high street.

I must confess, my favourite sporting shop is and always has been Nike – I love the dri-fit selection and the quality of the fabrics, so I obviously headed here first.

Despite wanting to buy the whole selection of running clothes, I settled with a Nike sports bra, Nike high-waisted yoga pants, and a pair of blue shorts with a funky pattern on the front and back.

Echo:

I was pleasantly surprised when the colleague behind the till told me it was 30 per cent off the selection of clothes I was buying, and my best bargain of the day were the shorts – they initially were £20, and I got them for £6!

After leaving Nike extremely satisfied, we browsed the Adidas and Under Armour stores next door – which had a great deal of supportive leggings, durable trainers, and something for every type of workout regimen.

Echo:

As I was on a fitness shopping spree and wanted the dopamine levels to continue, I also treated myself to some B12 vitamins from health shop Holland and Barret.

The Holland and Barret store located in the O2 Arena had stacks of vitamins, supplements, sports nutrition, natural beauty, gluten-free and vegan foods – perfect for anyone who may be looking for an added boost to their fitness regimes.

My final purchase of the day was in ASICS where I bought some black double layer shorts – an absolute essential for running in the upcoming summer months.

Echo:

The outlet stores at the O2 Arena are nothing short of spectacular, and it’s a great place to start if you’re wanting to spruce up your active wear with some beloved brands.

Our fitness fun-day did not stop here, however, as my friend and I took on Up at the O2 Arena – the adrenaline-fuelled experience where you climb over the world famous roof.

Echo:

Our instructor taking on this challenge was a wonderful employee named Freya, who guided us through the safety instructions, strapped us into the harness and navigated us as we ascended higher into the sky.

I am quite the adrenaline junkie and love taking on new heights, so I found the experience thrilling yet bizarrely peaceful.Echo:

As we ascended higher, the panoramic views become increasingly breathtaking, with landmarks such as the Thames River, Canary Wharf, and the historic Greenwich Observatory stretching out before us – and we managed to take it all in with a glass of prosecco as we made it to the viewing point at the top of the O2.

Safety is paramount throughout the experience, as Freya the expert guide provided instruction and assistance every step of the way – so, if you’re wanting to take on the climb, the staff here are great and can answer any worrying question to offer peace of mind.

Echo:

Whether you're a thrill-seeker looking for an adrenaline rush or simply seeking a new perspective of London, climbing over the roof at The O2 Arena is an experience not to be missed.

It's a perfect activity for individuals, families, or groups of friends seeking an unforgettable adventure in one of the world's most vibrant cities.

After the shopping spree, climb, and walking more than 10,000 steps, my friend and I headed to the Brazilian restaurant Rodizio Rico, inside no other than the O2.

Echo:

Rodizio Rico offers a unique dining experience to live the authentic Brazilian Churrascaria, with all you can eat delicious meats, and a buffet fit for a king.

The selection of food at the buffet was like something I had never seen before, and we enjoyed stunning dishes like garlic chicken pasta, fried fish, beef lasagne, cheesy baked bread.

Echo:

To taste the meats here, customers are given a card which is red on one side, and green on the other.

If you’re wanting more meat, you turn the card green, and if you’re full or need a break, you turn it red – it was a unique concept which I thought was a great asset to the O2.

Echo:

The taste of each meat was divine – my friend and I enjoyed sirloin steak, beef ribs, sausages, chicken wings, thighs and bacon wrapped chicken – all cuts were exceptional and it’s safe to say we made the most of our visit here.

For the full experience at Rodizio Rico, customers pay £39.10, which allows you to have quite literally as much food as you want – it’s worth every penny, especially for meat lovers and those who like a casual, fun dining experience.

Echo:

Overall, spending the day at The O2 Arena was a memorable experience that combines entertainment, dining, and shopping in one vibrant destination.

Whether you're wanting to take on new fitness challenges this year, want to find some bargains or fancy a gorgeous dinner, you're guaranteed a day filled with fun, excitement, and unforgettable moments.
