A spokesman for Southend Pier and Railway shared on social media: "The Eendracht schooner will be moored up alongside Southend Pier from midday tomorrow for one night only, departing early Thursday morning.

"Members of the public will not be permitted on board but it's a great chance to see this majestic vessel from the Netherlands alongside our pier."

The Eendracht is a three-masted schooner from the Netherlands, built in 1989 at the Damen shipyard. She is now used as a sail training ship to give young people an introduction to the sea.
