Jack Whitehall has announced that he is adding an extra date in Southend to his latest UK stand-up tour.

The 34-year-old will now be heading to the Cliffs Pavilion on Wednesday, October 4 due to phenomenal demand for his 'Settle Down' tour.

This is part of a number of extra dates being added in August, September and October around the UK.

Whitehall will now be heading to Exeter, Salford, Scarborough, Bristol, Aberdeen, Stockton and Blackpool as well as Southend.

Tickets for all the additional shows will go on pre-sale on Wednesday, June 28 before going on general sale on Friday, June 30.

These tickets will be able to be purchased on the Ticketmaster website.

Jack Whitehall said of the announcement: “So far it’s been incredible playing to some of the best crowds I’ve ever performed in front of.

"There were a few places we weren’t able to slot into the summer so really excited to be able to add some additional dates in the Autumn.”

Whitehall began his career at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2007, where he won both The Charlie Hartill Special Reserve Competition and The Amused Moose Laugh Off.

A string of further awards followed, including The British Comedy Awards' King Of Comedy, as voted for by the public, three years in a row.
