MORE than 2,000 little handmade hearts are on display on Thorpe Esplanade to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week.
The Little Hearts Remembrance Display is between Lynton Road and Burges Terrace, near the Roslin Beach Hotel, and will be there until after the Wave of Light event on Saturday.
Organisers Ellie and Colin Day created the display and the knitted and crocheted hearts were made by volunteers. There are 200 baby names on display, compared to last year when there were around 75 names.
“We have created the display in memory of our son Charlie who died a week before he was due to be born in March 2019.
We hope that it gives bereaved parents and families a peaceful space to come and remember their babies during this week whilst also raising awareness of baby loss for people passing by.”
