A MAN is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a serious crash.

​Police were called to Rayleigh Road in Eastwood at 1am on February 6 with reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.

The victim, a man in his 30s, has been taken to hospital where he is in a life-threatening condition.

Rayleigh Road was closed between the junctions for Belgrave Road and Eastwood Rise for several hours after the incident.

A diversion was in place via Eastwood Rise, Springwater Road and Tudor Road.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV, dash cam, or doorbell footage is asked to contact police.
