PIZZA Express has re-opened in Southend with an exciting new look with seaside scenes from the Sixties.
The popular Italian restaurant is celebrating the launch of its new look of the Southend High Street branch.
The family-friendly restaurant has been totally transformed and features photographs of seaside scenes from the Sixties.
The artwork includes nostalgic photographs of a time when people would flock by train to pack the beach with deckchairs and windbreaks, or take a thrill-seeking ride at the Kursaal Amusement Park.
These are mixed with colourful illustrations printed onto reclaimed wood depicting people enjoying time on the beach, alongside sea life and a large vintage map of the area.
The colour palette ties in with the seaside location, using cool blues with an accent of yellow in the lighting and tiling.
