KILMARNOCK boss Jim Jefferies has admitted he will breath a sigh of relief that he doesn't face the Old Firm now for quite some time.

Last night's 3-0 defeat to Celtic came hard on the heels of a 4-0 defeat to Rangers at Rugby Park and Jeff is looking for other teams to start shipping points now.

"We've had them twice back-to-back and now some other teams can face them," he said. "They'll take points off people because they have better players than anyone else.

"We have had better news regarding injured players Simon Ford and Danny Invincible. They might not make Saturday's game but they should be back for the one after that.

"Our performances at home are going to determine where we will be challenging at the end of the season."

And Jefferies has admitted that his main focus this week has been the game against Dundee United on Saturday.

He said: "We had injuries and there were two or three players playing for the first time in a long time but they plugged away.

"Celtic had a lot of possession but we helped them by giving the ball away. And until the second goal went in, I felt comfortable enough.

"We didn't do enough in terms of attacking them, but we were well organised and if Alan Combe had held the ball they wouldn't have scored their second goal.

"Alan was hard on himself after the game as he let the ball slip from him and they got the goal, but I said before the game, my priorities lie in the next seven games, four at home."

There was an air of resignation when Jefferies was asked about Shunsuke Nakamura.

"They had patched him up," he sighed. "He had something over his thigh so they must have been desperate to play him, but we didn't do enough attacking."
