HUNDREDS flocked to Leigh Broadway to enjoy the Yuletide Parade and Christmas lights on Friday night.
The roads closed to make way for the colourful procession, music and other entertainment.
Leigh was lit up for the festivities and the crowds enjoyed Christmas stalls, arts and crafts and a funfair at The Grand.
Children queued up in Broadway outside estate agent Scott and Stapleton to visit Santa in his grotto and mulled wine and mince pies were handed out throughout the evening.
This year’s parade included floats from Amanda Restell Academy of Dance, Southend Carnival Court and Lower Thames Rowing Club with music provided by Yardarm Folk Orchestra.
