A THREE-VEHICLE smash in Eastwood left the Fairway blocked in both directions this evening.

The accident occurred at 5.30pm with the ambulance service attending.

One woman was treated for suspected neck injuries and is thought to have been taken to Southend Hospital, there were not thought to be any other casualties.

The road was blocked in both directions between the A127 junction and where it meets Eastwood Road North, but had reopened and traffic cleared by 7pm.

The Fairway is in Leigh. It links Easteweood Road with the A127 or Arterial as us old uns still call it. I went to Fairways school and was born in Woodside. It's all Leigh..
