Southend Standard: Richard's dad, also Richard, said he was worried sick by his disappearance Richard's dad, also Richard, said he was worried sick by his disappearance

A BOY who was missing from his Westcliff home for 12 days has been found in Basildon.

Richard Clarke, 15, failed to return to his home on Balmoral Road after January 24 but was this afternoon found safe and well in a house in Basildon at about 4.30pm. Officers will be reuniting him with his father, Richard, later this evening.

Mr Clarke, 42, said he had lost sleep over his son's disappearance and spent many of the 12 days he was missing driving around the area attempting to find him.

I just posted on the other story before I saw this.

Thank God he is safe.

I have a 15 year old and I know what hard work they can be. You love em to bits but they drive you insane.

Harry Enfield was spot on with his character Kevin is all I can say!

Hope Richard sorts it out with his family and gets back on track. I know exams loom but there is loads of help if needed. Don't worry!

Good luck Richard!

Rather vague about where he was found.

At his Mother's perhaps?

All's well that ends well.

I am happy he has been found safe. Obviously he had problems, but is there not some responsibility due from the person(s) who sheltered him there and must have known he was a runaway? I hope he sorts things out in his life.
