SOUTHEND United have signed goalkeeper Cameron Belford on loan from Bury for a second time.

Belford ended last season with Blues and secured nine clean sheets in 15 games as the side just missed out on promotion.

But, after originally deciding against signing the shot-stopper, boss Paul Sturrock has now opted to bring Belford back to Roots Hall.

The month long loan switch was also completed in time for Belford to play against Peterborough United in the Capital One Cup tonight.

Daniel Bentley, 19, had been expected to make his first start for Southend at London Road.
