IT’S back to a full programme of league action tomorrow and – with barely a cigarette paper between our top three teams – it’s all set for another fascinating day in the Ryman’s top division.

Newly-promoted CONCORD currently enjoy the local bragging rights as our highest-placed team.

Last week’s win over Harrow Borough moved the Beach Boys up to fourth in the table, with 20 points and a goal-difference of plus-five from their 13 games.

But they face arguably the toughest fixture tomorrow with an away trip to AFC Hornchurch, who are just a point behind them in the congested league table.

Concord will be hoping influential midfielder Tony Stokes can continue his fine form after he hit a brace to move on to seven goals for the season in the midweek Essex Senior Cup win over Thurrock.

The next of our sides in the Ryman Premier table is Billericay, who currently occupy the last play-off spot in sixth with 20 points and a goal-difference of plus-two from their 13 games.

They host Carshalton Town at New Lodge tomorrow.

And the third of our promotion hopefuls is CANVEY.

They are 12th with 17 points and a goal-difference of plus-five, but have a game in hand on Concord and Billericay.

The Gulls host third-bottom Folkestone Invicta tomorrow.

Fourth-bottom AVELEY, meanwhile, have a trip to Tooting & Mitcham United.
