Hadleigh and Thundersley continued unbeaten in the Premier Division of the Active Southend Evening Cricket League after a comprehensive victory over Rankins.

Batting first Joe Robbins 20, Oliver Wagstaff 29 and Dan Jackson 20 helped Hadleigh to a score of 133-6 with Scott Simmons taking 3-45.

In reply only Chris Sutherby, with 27, could make any progress against the Hadleigh bowlers, with Adam Dobson taking 4-9 as Rankins closed on 80-7.

Trinity outplayed Eastwood after R Daynes (83 not out) and Chiraq Desai (36 not out) had seen Trinity to a score of 146-1.

In reply, only C Guy (48 not out) made any headway against Joe Sibbons and D Pryke, who both took three wickets as Eastwood finished on 69-8.

In Division One, local rivals Rayleigh and Rayleigh Fairview had another exciting derby match with Fairview coming out on top this time by eight runs. Batting first, Fairview hit 134-9 off 12 overs, with Calum McLean scoring 41 not out.

Rayleigh were all out for 126 with two balls remaining of the last over.

McLean followed up his excellent batting by taking 5-34 from four overs.
