ALLEYN Court Preparatory School have eight pupils flying the East Anglian flag at the National Independent Schools Association athletics championships.

The students made it through to the regional team following their performances at the East Anglian finals, where the school in Wakering Road, Thorpe Bay, enjoyed success.

“We won two age groups and were second and third in others,” said Alleyn Court’s head of PE Paul Hart. “We had a really good team performance.

“I was really pleased as most schools do not win any more than one age group.”

The eight who will be representing East Anglia are: Robert Pinkerton (high jump and ball throw), Harrison Smith (600m), Mitchell Cox (600m), Meghan Samuels (600m), Finlay Mackay (ball throw), Joe Bryan (relay), Harrison John (relay), Theo Chandler (relay), Eleanor Butt (relay).

East Anglian finals team results: Year Four boys 3rd, Year Four girls 1st, Year Five boys 1st, Year Six boys 2nd.
