SOUTHEND United are in talks to shake up their squad, Echosport understands.
The Shrimpers are currently unable to bring in new signings due to the terms of their transfer embargo which restricts the League Two club to having a squad of 23 players.
And that means players must leave before reinforcements can be brought in.
As a result, Blues have opened up discussions with the fringe members of the squad in a bid to free up spaces for new arrivals.
Mark Molesley’s side have started the season with four successive defeats and fielded the youngest matchday squad in the club’s history for the opening day defeat against Harrogate Town.
