SOUTHEND United's John White and Timothee Dieng will both face late checks on hamstring injuries before tomorrow’s clash at Carlisle United.

The duo both missed Saturday's 4-0 defeat to Harrogate Town with hamstring strains.

And Mark Molesley will be checking their fitness today before finaling his squad.

"We will have some last minute checks on them," said Molesly.

"We will have to see if they will be ready."

Defender Harry Lennon has yet to feature this term after suffering a calf problem in pre-season.

But the centre-back has now returned to training.

"Harry's been involved with first team training this week and that’s great but there’s no quick route back for him," said Lennon.

"We need to build up him slowly because he’s such an important player for us.

"No-one wants him back quicker than I do but at the same time we need to take our time.
