SOUTHEND United striker Stephen Humphrys is facing upto another six weeks on the sidelines with a broken nose.

Humphrys suffered the injury during Blues' 3-1 defeat against Doncaster Rovers at the end of January.

And Blues boss Sol Campbell does not expect the forward to be back anytime soon.

"It’s not done yet but he’s decided to get his nose corrected," said Campbell.

"It’s causing discomfort and he’s already had a couple of consultations up in Manchester.

"Once that is done he will have an operation and that’s going to be three to six weeks.

"He has has a few plates around the cheekbone and he wants to allow it to settle down.

"After that he will have to wear a mask."

Humphrys also suffered a broken nose, cheekbone and eye socket at Accrington Stanley last February
