WESTCLIFF were held to a frustrating 20-20 draw against Bournemouth but there were victories for both Rochford Hundred and Southend Saxons.
Westcliff raced into a 15-0 lead in the National Two South clash but bottom of the table Bournemouth hit back to lead 20-15.
A late try from the hosts Jake Spivey levelled the scores but the conversion was missed as the game ended all square.
In London & SE Premier Division, table-topping Rochford Hundred won 22-11 at Tunbridge Well while Southend Saxons got back to winning ways in London One North as they saw off Sudbury 28-20 at Warners Bridge.
But, despite the win, Southend slipped to seventh in the standings.
In London One South, Thurrock beat Belsize Park 25-22 while in London Two North East, South Woodham Ferrers lost 27-11 at home to Romford & Gidea Park.
In London Three Essex, Basildon lost 33-0 at Braintree while in Essex One, Billericay lost 29-18 at Clacton and Canvey Island won 51-17 at Harwich & Dovercourt.
