STEPHEN Humphrys was forced out of Southend United's win at Accrington Stanley due to an illness.
The Shrimpers striker had been hoping for happier afternoon at the Crown Ground after suffering sickening facial injuries there last season.
But Blues boss Sol Campbell was unable to call upon the forward.
“Stephen Humphrys is ill,” said Campbell.
“People can wake up like that and not recover in time.”
Humphrys was replaced in attack by Charlie Kelman, who made his first start since injuring his ankle in the reverse fixture against Accrington at Roots Hall in September.
