A gang of five men and one woman robbed a man as he was walking through a car park in Westcliff.

The attack happened at around 12.30pm in the car park in Ceylon Road on Tuesday, March 8.

A man in his 30s was walking through the car park when a silver Ford KA pulled up beside him.

Five white men and one woman got out of the car. They grabbed the victim, searched him, pushed him to the ground and stole a small sum of cash from him.

They then drove off towards London Road.

Investigating Officer Pc Calley Mackay said: "The suspects have approached a vulnerable man who was unable to defend himself or fight back.

"He was hurt and has now been left scared to go out. I would urge anybody who saw anything or anyone who may have any information as to who may have been responsible to get in touch with me as soon as possible.”
