Volunteers helped save a woman after she was stuck in mud up to her knees.

West Mersea Lifeboat Station RNLI were tasked with saving the woman on Bradwell Beach on Sunday (October 25).

'Just George' and the volunteers crew were launched within six minutes of receiving the report.

Upon arrival crew found the woman stuck up to her knees in mud on a floating tide, which was already above her waist.

The crew were thankfully able to free the casualty before handing her over to Essex Fire and Rescue and South Woodham Coastguard Rescue Team.
