RESIDENTS are being given another chance to have their say on the future of a prime piece of land in Leigh.
Following a three-day public consultation in June Southend Council officials have decided to give people who could not attend a chance to air their views on what should happened to the site in Elm Road.
The piece of land contains the community centre, police station, youth centre as well as a public car park.
Jonathan Garston, councillor responsible for planning, said: "The buildings in Elm Road are very important to Leigh residents and are a part of the area's heritage.
"We want to ensure local people have their opportunity to say what they think should happen to the buildings so we can draft a set of planning options for further public consultation."
The drop-in session will take place on Saturday (September 29) at Leigh Library in Broadway West from 10am to 3pm.
