THIEVES broke into a Westcliff home using a gardening fork and stole computer equipment and jewellery.
The crooks smashed a window of a house in Crosby Road, Westcliff and grabbed several laptops, a computer tablet, camera equipment, music players and jewellery.
A forensic examination of the property was conducted along with house-to-house enquiries.
The burglary happened near the junction of Chadwick Road between 2.30pm and 3.30pm on August 15.
Anyone with information in connection with this burglary is asked to contact detectives at Southend police station on 101.
