A WOMAN has been arrested following a suspicious death in Southend.
Police believe the death of Anthony Collingwood, 40, of Kursaal Way, was drugs related.
Officers were contacted by the ambulance service shortly after 1am on Tuesday, July 31 following reports that a man was ill inside a flat on Kursaal Way.
They arrived to find the body of a man and are treating the death as suspicious.
A post-mortem examination has been conducted and further test results are being awaited.
An investigation was launched after officers received information relating to the circumstances surrounding the death in the days following its initial report to police.
On Monday, August 13, a 39-year-old woman from Southend was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and later released on police bail until Wednesday, October 3 pending further enquiries.
