A GROUP of friends took the plunge in memory of a woman who lost her battle with liver cancer.
Amy Goddard rounded up four pals to take part in the charity skydive in memory of her mum Wendy, 53, who died in July.
The group, called Wendy’s Girls – Amy, Gemma Haynes, Victoria Hazael, Nicola and Lindsey Golder – jumped from a height of 13,000 feet during the sky dive in Cambridge. They raised more than £4,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Amy, 27, of Badger Hall Avenue, Thundersley, said: “The day was very emotional for us, but we knew we were doing it for a fantastic cause and in memory of a fantastic woman. It felt amazing when I was free falling. I just had pure adrenaline when I was doing it. “The experience has brought my friends and I closer together. We are so proud of what we have achieved.”
