A MAN found with gun shot wounds at the Oak Lane traveller site in Crays Hill is believed to have taken his own life.
The man, aged in his 50s, has yet to be officially named, but police are not treating the death as suspicious.
The body was found after police were called to the site last Wednesday at 1pm.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “Police were called by the ambulance service following reports that a man was injured following a shooting inside a caravan in Oak Lane. They arrived and found a man’s body. The death is not being treated as suspicious and an inquest will take place in due course.”
