IF you see yourself as Basildon’s next big name in fashion, South Essex College, The Eastgate Centre and the Echo are offering an opportunity for all secondary pupils in south Essex to get their work seen, enhance their CVs and win some fantastic prizes.
Interested pupils need to submit a mood board, photo or illustration into three different awarded categories: Fashion Designer, Fashion Stylist or Textiles Design.
All entries must be entered by Friday 24th August to be judged by experts, including Michelle Moore, personal shopper at Debenhams.
The finalists will be announced in September and invited to an evening at The Eastgate Centre to showcase their work on a catwalk.
The overall winner will be crowned Basildon Fashion Desginer of the Year and will win £250 to spend in Eastgate as well as a week’s work experience with Michelle.
Runners up will also be awarded shopping vouchers.
