POLICE investigating a double death have named the couple involved.
The tragedy began to unfold on Wednesday morning with the discovery of a man's body hanging from scaffolding in Clifftown Road, Southend.
Officers investigating the death went on to find the body of a woman at a house in Bramble Road, Daws Heath, on Thursday.
The couple have now been named as Matthew, 45, and Mandy Foakes, 46, both of Bramble Road, Daws Heath.
While post mortems have been carried out on both, police are unable to release causes of death.
Officers have confirmed no-one else is being sought in connection with the deaths.
