A PIGEON shed was raided by police who discovered cannabis.
Officers burst into the house in Bellhouse Crescent, Leigh, and conducted a thorough search of the garden sheds.
They found a hidden doorway from a shed into a second shed, which used to house pigeons.
A dozen plants were seized along with herbal cannabis, worth about £1,000 on the street.
Two men, aged 49 and 21, were arrested along with a 48-year-old woman at about 9.30am yesterday.
It is believed electricity had been abstracted illegally since July to provide enough heat for the plants. Officers from EDF Energy switched the power off.
Det Con Nick Burton, of Leigh focus team, who led the raid, said: “We are getting intelligence at the moment for a lot of drug activity – so much so we’ve got a list of properties and people we are targeting.”
Police are also urging people to contact them with any information about suspicious activity.
