A BANK card stolen from a car was used to buy £300 of goods.
The unlocked car was in Ayles-beare, Shoebury, when the thieves got in and stole the card, as well as £300 of power tools.
Police want to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious between 6.30pm on Thursday, July 1 and 7.45am the following day.
They are also investigating a theft from an unlocked car parked outside Rogers Newsagents in Ness Road, Shoebury. The owner got out of the car at 11.15am on June 23 and was only briefly gone.
When they returned, their mobile phone had been stolen from the dashboard.
PC Reuben Brame, of Shoebury police, said: “Again we would remind motorists of the importance of always removing valuables from your vehicle and locking up every time you leave it. Anyone with information should call police on 0300 333 4444
