A SCHOOLBOY was left with a broken leg following an early morning crash.
The accident happened when the 12-year-old boy, who was riding on his bicycle, along East Mayne, Basildon collided with a blue Ford Ka.
Police and paramedics raced to the scene, following the crash, which happened at 8.25am yesterday.
The boy was taken by ambulance to Basildon Hospital for treatment to his injured leg.
Essex Ambulance spokeswoman Katie Poel said: “We sent a rapid response car and an ambulance crew to the scene.
“The boy was conscious and breathing and was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital.”
The driver of the car was uninjured.
Police are not investigating the cause of the crash.
