THESE men are wanted by police following an attack at Leigh railway station.

A 24-year-old man had been at a work party at a pub in Leigh before leaving to get the train home.

He was attacked on platform two of the station and punched and kicked several times.

The victim had to be taken to Southend Hospital after he suffered bruising and swelling to his head, as well as scratches and grazes to his body.

Officers are keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the assault between 10.15pm and 10.20pm on Friday May 28 and who might recognise the youths pictured.

They also want to hear from two young women who were at the station at the time and who tried to stop the assault.

Anyone with information or who recognises the youths pictured is asked to contact BTP on 0800 40 50 40 and quote incident number 682 of 28 May.
