SOUTHEND youngsters have helped create a breathtaking exhibit for the Hampton Court Flower Show.
People from Southend’s youth offending service have been working since November on The Walled Garden, spending a total of 150 hours building the garden which contains 222 plants, 726 litres of compost as well as a solar-powered water feature.
The colourful garden illustrates several well-known aspects of Southend including the pier, the foreshore, the Thames Estuary as well as the town’s floral landscaping and parks.
