POLICE teams smashed their way through a front door while carrying out a drugs raid.
The Essex Police Operational Support Group, which gives assistance for serious crimes across the county, helped out community policing teams in Thurrock at the weekend.
The borough’s teams carried out the raid on Saturday, which saw two people arrested.
A spokesman for the police said: “The Community Policing Team were assisted by the Operational Support Group to execute a warrant at an address in Thurrock.
“The door proved to be tough, but our officers persevered and made it through.
“Two people have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences.”
