FOUL-mouthed Second World War pilots and accident-prone culture buffs are just some of the favourite characters who’ll be coming out of the dressing-up box when TV duo Armstrong and Miller perform live at the Cliffs Pavilion on Sunday.

Ben Miller and Alexander Armstrong will perform to a sold-out crowd this weekend, recreating a parade of characters from their successful TV show.

And the comedy duo can’t wait to get their characters off screen and on stage.

Ben says: “I’m so excited about the live show. We’ve built up such a great rapport with our fans and we are so keen to perform live for them again.”

Alexander adds: “Doing a live show is such a joy. You know the pleasure you get from introducing people to one of your favourite films? You want to enjoy them enjoying it.

“We have the same sensation performing live – we can’t wait to introduce audiences to the next sketch. It’s a whole new group of people coming together to see something we’ve lovingly put together.

“In terms of celebrating what you love, there’s simply nothing like it.”

The pair met at Cambridge University in the Nineties, and they’ve worked together for almost 20 years.

There are no plans for them to separate anytime soon.

Ben says: “One of the things we’ve learnt over the years is that while it’s fun doing solo things, what we really enjoy is the stuff we do together.

“I think we spark off each other really well.”  l Armstrong and Miller play at the Cliffs Pavilion, Station Road, Westcliff, on Sunday at 8pm. Tickets are sold out except for returns.
