A SOUTH Essex high street will remain closed as crews for just over a week as works are done to fix a collapsed sewer pipe.
Brentwood High Street was initially closed yesterday morning, March 10, for an excavation to repair a collapsed sewer pipe.
The road was shut in both directions between Crown Street and Kings Road and remains shut as Thames water crews carry out repairs.

Although Essex Highways traffic map, one.network, shows the road will be closed until 5pm on March 22, works could finish earlier.
Diversions are currently in place and are signposted in the area.
